What is Mushaf ?

Many groups tend to say that Mushaf is simply another word for Quran.

However technically that definition is incorrect.

Mushaf is a collection of Islamic religious documents bound together (today usually in book form).

While the Quran is a Mushaf . . . Obviously not all books that contain a collection of religious documents (that could be called mushaf) are the quran.
