I have noticed that there have been no new members since you changed the sign up policies.

Are you allowing any new users to this site?

It seems dead here since you brought it back up with the all the rule changes.

Have you maybe “shot yourself in the foot” making this site so restrictive to new members?

You are correct that there have been no new accounts created.
However this is not due to us rejecting anyone.
At this time, we simply have not had any new user submissions.

I agree it has been rather dead here since we brought the board back up.

As you probably remember with the old setup, for every one real post there were between 25-50 Spam posts. I will be the first to admit that I dislike having to tighten the board signup process as much as I have. Unfortunately, we are out of ideas to be able to effectively block, the spammers. If anyone has any reasonably effective ideas, we are open to suggestions.

And yes it is likely that we did "shoot our selves in the foot" when it comes to getting new members. However, there still seem to be a lot of people looking at the information found on this little board. When someone has something to say or want others to consider a different viewpoint or add more information to a topic, I hope the person will send us a message.
