Is the whole bible provable as fact? Absolutely not.
If for no other reason it would be impossible to have prophecy proven until it happens. Though a great deal of the prophecies discussed in The Bible MIGHT, not are, but might, be starting to unfold before our eyes.
There are some parts of The Bible that are provable facts such as the historical parts regarding much of Israeli history and law. And archaeology is also discovering more historical evidence, which matches places discussed in The Bible that have been buried for centuries. A few of which were thought to have never existed.
There are of course several sections that are parables, or stories, to make a point or help show us better ways to life. Both by good examples as well as showing consequences of poor choices. Those of course never happened in reality. Thus are not provable as fact.
However is The Bible a book that has many interesting insights and if taken in proper context a very good book to help us lead better lives, as well as help us to understand The true nature of The Father, Our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ and The Holy Ghost? To that I would say … Yes. |
