From what I can see you are trying to show the “evils” of Islam on this board, but if people will not believe things that should be common sense to avoid, like in the article I am including, what makes you think anyone will listen to you about things that no one, or very few people, know anything about?

Especially with so many other sources including Islamic sites saying what you are saying is flat out wrong.

Police seek possible young victims of alleged pimp

By THOMAS WATKINS, Associated Press Writer Thomas Watkins, Associated Press Writer – October 5, 2010

LOS ANGELES – The case of an alleged pimp suspected of abducting two teenage girls and keeping them captive while forcing them into prostitution could include dozens of other victims, authorities said Monday.

Police urged other possible victims of suspect Leroy Bragg to come forward.

Bragg, 34, was arrested Sept. 28 and charged with trafficking a minor, solicitation and other crimes in the alleged abduction of a 13-year-old girl.

He also is suspected of kidnapping a 14-year-old girl, though charges have not been filed in that case.

"We believe that Mr. Bragg had encounters with many of our young women in Los Angeles," police Capt. Ann Young said. "This is such a hideous crime. These young women ... are babies, basically."

Bragg has pleaded not guilty and remained jailed on $1.3 million bail. He had not yet been assigned a public defender. With previous burglary convictions, he could be sentenced to life under the three strikes law if convicted of the latest charges.

Police found the two girls while checking hotels southwest of downtown Los Angeles to see if managers had been properly documenting guests to make sure no one was renting rooms by the hour for use by prostitutes.

The girls told officers Bragg had kidnapped them, Young said.

"They are not street-wise," she said. "They may think they are when they leave home, but when they run into someone like Mr. Bragg, it changes their whole paradigm."

Bragg is suspected of keeping the girls captive, though officials did not give details. The father of one of the girls has said she was locked in a room for three or four days and given drugs.

The father also said his daughter had been forced to get a tattoo identifying her as Bragg's property under his alias, Snipe King.

One girl was returned to her family, the other was placed in foster care.

Pimps often tattoo girls with their name or a symbol as a way of asserting control, police Cmdr. Michael Moriarty said.

They frequently use the Internet to search for potential victims. Often, they reach out on social networking sites and make elaborate promises.

"They say come out with me, I can provide you with clothing, nice places," Moriarty said. "He will have other prostitutes that work with him that will help the recruitment process by saying what a great guy he is."

I appreciate your question.

I can see how it might appear that we are trying to show the “evils of Islam” as you put it.

While I am sure it is obvious that many here have no love for the religion, those of us that monitor the site try to make sure that answers regarding Islam are not based on personal opinion(s) but rather match answers to the same or very similar questions found on various Islamic sites.

You are correct there are a many groups that will tell non-muslims that Islam does not teach or do some of the things we have presented. However, those groups are generally not referencing the official rulings of the Islamic leadership, but rather referencing documents intended to bring people to Islam (or softening the peoples’ hearts to the Idea of Islamic rule.) Only later reveling the realities of Islamic rule.

However, as always, if you find that we have made a mistake with terms or answering a question and our answer is not accurate according to Islamic Leadership rulings and/or text, please feel free to add a response to the incorrect topic, but please remember to include the Islamic source that shows a different or superseding ruling.

We do not try to show Islam as good or evil. We simply try to let the teachings of Islam speak for themselves.

We strongly encourage everyone to study and learn about all religions.

As The Christian Bible says:

Proverbs: 14:15:
The simple believeth every word:
but the prudent man looketh well to his going. (KJV)
Or put another way.
A simple man believes every word he hears;
a clever man understands the need for proof. (New English Bible 1970)

As for do why I think anyone will listen to what we have to say on this little board, or anywhere else for that matter. The vast majority probably will not. However there will be a few that will seriously consider and think about what has been said here and on other sites finding the proof they need to make the choice that is right for them.

As I was reading your question a very old story about a person’s works seeming totally useless popped into my mind.

= = =

Two men were walking toward each other on an otherwise deserted beach. One man was in his early 20s, the other obviously much older. The smooth damp sand was littered with starfish, washed onto the land during high tide. They were now stranded by the outgoing tide.

Thousands of starfish were doomed to die in the warm morning sun.

The younger man watched the older man pick up starfish one at a time and toss them back into the ocean, giving them a chance to survive.

The young man thought, “Why is he doing that? How foolish. He can’t save them all.”

As they came near one another, the younger one felt compelled to point out to the older man the futility in his action. “You know,” he said, “you can’t save them all. Most of them will die here on the sand. What you are doing really won’t make any difference.”

The older man studied the young man for a moment. Then he bent down, picked up a starfish and tossed it into the water.

He smiled at the young man and said, “It made a difference to that one.”

Then he walked on, picking up starfish and tossing them back into the sea.

May Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ bless you and your family.
