Stealing from unsuspecting airline passengers is just “part of the culture” at the TSA, according to a former agent who was fired after getting caught red-handed.

He explained that pilfering items from checked bags was a way of making extra money, since he didn’t feel he was paid well at the TSA.

A new report says that TSA agents may be able to test you the passenger’s drinks after you’ve cleared the security checkpoint before your next flight. Agents may choose travelers at random on whom to perform the checks. Critics say this is just another example of the government’s reach going too far.

Talk about adding insult to injury! A man is saying that a TSA agent spilled his grandfather’s ashes.

John Gross was carrying the ashes in a closed jar through the Orlando International Airport, and instead of putting the jar through the x-ray machine, he claims the agent took matters into her own hands.

Gross said, “They opened up my bag, and I told them, ‘Please be careful; these are my grandpa’s ashes’ … And she opened it up, she used her finger, was sifting through it, and she accidentally spilled it … she didn’t apologize, she started laughing.”

Mother Says TSA Gave Her 4-Year-Old a Pat-Down, Treated Her Like a Terrorist and Implied That the Girl’s Grandmother Had Passed Her a Handgun

A mother says that airport screeners treated her daughter like a terrorist. According to Michelle Brademeyer, 4-year-old Isabella ran back through a security checkpoint at Wichita’s airport when her grandmother needed to be re-screened. After the little girl gave her grandmother a hug, TSA agents swooped in and gave the crying girl a full body pat-down.

On her Facebook page, Brademeyer wrote, “It was implied, several times, that my Mother, in their brief two-second embrace, had passed a handgun to my daughter.”
Former senior FAA official Scott Brenner commented on the case and bluntly said, “What an absolute disaster for TSA! Really? Are the 4-year-olds and the grandmothers, are those the top terror suspects in the world today? That’s who we should be working on?”

He continued, “When do these jackbooted thugs come in, scowling at this poor little girl, scaring her to death, separating her from her mother? It’s just a disaster.”

The TSA issued a statement on the situation, saying, “The child had completed screening but had contact with another member of her family who had not complete the screening process. While it was explained to family members why additional security procedures were necessary in this instance, TSA officers did not suspect or suggest the child was carrying a firearm.”
