I would really like someone that practices Islam to add some more detail or make corrections.

But as I understand it:

Tawheed means to bear witness that there is no god except Allaah is to deny that anyone other than Allaah has the right to be worshipped, and to affirm that this is the right of Allaah alone, with no partner or associate.

Basically the twin statement that one must accept and bear witness to in order to enter Islam.

There is no god except Allaah and Muhammad is His Messenger.
