Note: You can usually open the interesting advertisement/sponsor links in a new window/tab by RIGHT CLICKING the Ad-Link
then selecting 'Open in New Window' or 'Open in New Tab' from the drop down box. (depending on ad type)

I have been looking at your site for some time.

But there is something about your board that confuses me.

Anyone that reads the posts, especially under the Islam sections can see that you and several of the members here are very much against Islam. Yet you allow Islamic advertising on your site.

This confuses me why would you so obviously say or in some cases imply that Islam should be abolished yet allow Islamic groups to promote their religion (via the advertising) and try to acquire new converts from your site.

Why do you not block the Islamic ads like other sites do?

Thanks for your question.

The advertisements that everyone sees on this site and pages of my other sites are chosen by the google ads selection process based on a criteria that they (google) believe will be the best / most interesting to site visitors. Basically the google programs try to pick the most appropriate advertisement to display based in part on page content.

You are correct that I could enable some of the google ad features to indicate what types of advertisements I would like to the block or prevent from showing on my sites. However, be it KKK, Muslims, Neo-nazis, Catholics, Jews, Buddhists, Protestants, Americans, British, Africans, Asians, Australians, or any other group or individual classification one would like to use, everyone is entitled to an opinion and the right to peacefully express that opinion. Even if I or anyone else may find that opinion objectionable or even insulting. People / society as a whole will decide what groups will survive by either joining and working with the groups or speaking out against the groups, hindering the groups progress or in some cases just ignoring the groups completely causing the groups to disband from simple lack of interest.

With the advertisements google allows site owners to review the advertising sites in a manor that the site owner’s review of an advertisement does not charge the advertiser (unlike normal clicks of an advertisement that charge the advertiser). I do perform reviews from time to time, to see what various groups have to say. There are some groups that have interesting ideas both for and aginst the views I have and then there are others that are mostly . . . umm . . . how can I put this politely . . . full of . . . umm . . . recycled food material.

There are a lot of advertisers with interesting information, some with information similar to what is generally posted on my sites other advertisers with information that is very different. Ultimately the only way for anyone to make a truly informed decision is to look at information presented from all sides of an issue and make one’s own choice as to what should be done regarding any given situation. So in that respect I do encourage everyone to visit sites that agree with our discussions as well as sites and sites that disagree with the views of this bbs and my other pages.

That is what free speech is about. The right to peacefully and openly agree or disagree with anything we feel strongly about. Hopefully in the process changing the world for the better.
