We are sorry to have to do this but thanks to spammers, scammers, and low-lifes in general we no longer offer an automatic registration process.
It has simply become to time consuming to identify and separate honest users from spammers.
At this time all posts of the board can be read publicly. Thus if all one wants to do is read the various sections of the board there is no need to register.
There are of course many unique, sometimes controversial, ideas and statements posted on this board that one might want to post additional information or offer a different viewpoint. At that point one does need to be a registered user on the site.
Our new process to register on this bbs is that a person wanting to receive an account must submit a new subject article or a reply to a previous posting to the administrator via email ( admin@troach.net ) for review and posting.
If accepted, the admin/reviewer will create the new account and send the new id and temporary password to the email account that was used to submit the article. After you receive your login information, you will then be able to login, complete your profile information, set your account preferences, and post additional replies or create new topics for discussion without the need to email the admin.
Information to include in the submission request email:
email the information to: admin@troach.net
Subject: Registration Request
Your desired user name:
Do not send a password! The Admin will assign one to your account, you can and should change it later.
The title or http address of the posting you are replying to.
(If a new topic simply the title.)
And, of course, your article/comment.
(When appropriate be sure to reference, provide links, to supporting documentation.)

We hope anyone wanting to post comments on this site will understand the complications we face trying to separate/identify spammers that once they are registered post page after page of junk (such as ads for fake merchandise, finding “dates”, enlarging various body parts, etc., etc. etc.) and people that want to discuss a topic, share information, help people to learn something new, give others something to think about, etc.
Again we know this is a pain but unfortunately there are people that seem to get their “jollies” trying to cause needless problems for everyone else.
