If you live in the USA you really need to watch this:

Public Schools Taking Kids on Trips to Mosques, Muslims Use Opportunity to Proselytize

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Z7-I9Qp3d4Y

Apparently the definition of separation of church and state has been changed since I have been out of the U.S.A. to now mean only separation of Christianity and State.

Basically this video shows a group of public school children being taken by public school teachers on a school sponsored field trip to a mosque then being indoctrinated by the Muslims. The premise of the trip was supposed to be a social studies trip to learn about the architecture and Islamic Culture (observe first hand the daily prayer).

Apparently these types of public field trips are happening quietly all over the country though this report focuses on one group.

I wonder what kind of uproar there would be if the same public school or other public schools planned a social studies field trip to study the architecture and religious culture of some of the Catholic, Protestant, Baptist, Lutheran, etc. churches or even a Jewish Synagogue or Mormon Tabernacle in the area. I wonder how fast the ACLU would be on the schools doorstep at the mere suggestion of such a school/state sponsored field trip.

None of which seemed to have happen with this event or others that are apparently happening around the country.

This seems like a huge double standard to me.

It also seems to me, if it is ok to talk about and promote Islam during school time and school events then it is also ok to do the same with Christianity or any other religion for that matter. Either everyone gets to promote their faith during school time and school events or no one should.

As the old saying goes . . .

What is good for the goose is good for the gander.
