Unfortunately such things are getting worse all the time. And sadly as you said many these days do not even realize it is wrong. For even the "clean" tv and radio stations use a lot of the language that was consider very foul just a few years ago.
The Bible does make several references to such things. One such example that seems to apply:
Titus 1:16 They profess that they know God; but in works they deny him, being abominable and disobedient, and unto every good work reprobate.
I could give you a lot of suggestions to try to get those around you to stop doing such things, but ultimately, if the person does not want to change there is not much you can say or do to make them change. Plus several will use the language more often if they know it is annoying to someone else. Probably the best thing to do is just walk off when the people start using the language.
Ultimately, all you can do is live your life as best you can, doing what you know in your heart/soul is correct. Trying to follow as best you can the primary rule Our Lord and Savior gave us.
A simple yet sometimes complex rule that says, "Do to others as you would have others do to you." |
